Angel

For those that have spent any amount of time in my home in the past 16 years, they will have had the privilege to have met Angel.

Angel always liked me to hold him and would start to purr when I did

Angel was a very affectionate cat that was also very specific on who he would allow to pet him and in what ways. During my workdays, he would spend a lot of time either on my desk or on the table next to it while I was on the computer. I liked being able to take a quick break from work and just turn to my side to give him a kiss or pet him. Cat owners will know the unique satisfaction of giving a cat a kiss while they're sleeping and hearing a surprised, "brrr!"

"Why are those hands not petting me?"

Angel was very dear to me and I would often call him my son. You could tell because he looked just like me; the same hair color and everything.

This photo was taken in late 2020 after I started to spend a lot more time at home with my new job

On July 9, 2021, Angel, became very ill and after a consultation with the veterinarian, the decision was made to put him to sleep. It was heart wrenching to lose a creature that had meant so much to me. But in the end, I could not force him to live a life of gradually increasing suffering.

I will miss him so, so very much.
